FAQ

FAQ ⋆

How do I schedule an appointment?

To book an appointment, you can reach out directly to your preferred artist through their social media accounts. You can also contact us by emailing andromeda.ink333@gmail.com or by filling out the Request A Consultation form. Connecting with us is easy—whether you have a specific design in mind or need guidance, we’re here to help bring your vision to life.

Do you require a deposit?

Deposits are $100+ tax and are non-refundable, however they are transferrable with 48+ hour notice to reschedule your tattoo appointment. If you cancel or reschedule within 48 hours of your appointment, you forfeit your deposit. In case of a no-call / no-show, the deposit is forfeited.

The deposit contributes towards the final cost of the tattoo. For multiple tattoo sessions, the deposit will be transferred to hold each appointment until the last session. It will then be applied to the final cost of the final session.

How much will my tattoo cost?

The cost of your tattoo can vary based on several factors, including the complexity of the design, the size and placement of the tattoo, the artist you choose, and the time it will take to complete. Custom designs, larger tattoos, or detailed work often require more time and can influence the final price. Because each tattoo is unique, we recommend booking a free consultation with your chosen artist to discuss your ideas, get a more accurate estimate, and ensure your vision aligns with the design process. During the consultation, the artist will walk you through the details, answer any questions, and provide a final price based on your specific needs.

How should I prepare for my tattoo?

Preparing for your tattoo appointment is key to ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience. Start by getting a full night of sleep to help your body feel rested and ready. Avoid alcohol for at least 12 hours before your appointment, as well as caffeine, ibuprofen, and other blood thinners the morning of your session to reduce sensitivity and bleeding.

Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area being tattooed, and consider bringing water, snacks, or even a blanket to keep yourself comfortable during the session. Staying hydrated and relaxed will help make the experience more enjoyable—and help your artist create their best work.

How long will the tattoo take to heal?

After getting your tattoo, you can expect some dryness, itchiness, and flaking over the next two weeks—that’s all part of the normal healing process. The top layer of skin typically heals within 2 to 4 weeks, but the deeper layers can take between 3 to 5 months to fully regenerate. While your tattoo will no longer be an open wound after the first few weeks, it’s important to continue caring for it as the healing process continues beneath the surface. Keeping your tattoo clean, moisturized, and protected from direct sunlight will help preserve the design and keep it looking its best.

Do tattoos hurt?

Tattoos definitely come with some discomfort, but how much it hurts depends on a few things. The spot you’re getting tattooed, the size and detail of the design, and how you’re feeling that day all play a part. Did you eat and hydrate beforehand? Did you get enough sleep? If you menstruate, where you are in your cycle can also make a difference. Every artist has a different touch, so the feeling can vary too. Some people say it’s just a mild sting, while others find it more intense. It’s different for everyone—but a little preparation goes a long way!

Can I talk to an artist before booking an appointment?

Yes, absolutely! We strongly encourage all clients to book a free consultation before their tattoo session. This consultation gives you the chance to connect with your artist, ask questions, and get a feel for the studio and the atmosphere. At Andromeda Ink, we are committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive space for everyone. However, it's important to remember that not every artist-client pairing is the right fit. Tattooing is a deeply personal experience, and finding an artist you trust is essential for your comfort and peace of mind. Take your time to ensure you feel confident and comfortable—after all, this is your body, your tattoo, and your experience. Don't hesitate to be selective!
